Dear Parents and Guardians,

Happy New Year, and welcome back to the new academic year. I hope that you and your children had a relaxing break.

This new academic year is full of promise and excitement. The staff have been in school in the last few days preparing for all the students to come back.

The start of a school year can raise a number of questions. Please do not hesitate to contact the school through the Primary of Secondary offices, to get answers to your questions. Particularly, if you are having any issues with iSams, or with Vircle (for cashless payments).

The school has also been very busy during the holidays with upgrades to the facilities.

TISKL Evolution
During the school holidays, contractors have been very busy with various parts of the school facilities, to enhance and keep our facilities relevant for our students.

The Main School Courtyard - we have completely refurbished the courtyard area. The flooring is now a fresh mixture of tiles and astroturf. Landscaping has been introduced outside of the school hall, that will over time, introduce much needed shade. Please be patient while these plants and trees adjust to their new environments. There is now a lot more seating available for students to use during breaks and lunchtimes.

Sports Hall - The flooring in the sports hall has been completely changed. You will now see a blue surface replacing the old green surface. This will enable the school to continue to host inter school fixtures and expose our students to sports competitions. I am looking forward to continuing to hear about Taylor’s Thunder successes in 2025.

School Hall - The school hall is currently undergoing a complete internal renovation. This work will continue during the first few weeks of the school term, and so we will not be able to hold any assemblies or events until after CNY. I am looking forward to being able to share images of this work once it is finished, and I am sure that you will be impressed.

TISKL Transformation - Last term, we announced the long awaited construction of new sports facilities (including a swimming pool, and car park). Images and a model of this construction can be seen in the reception area. Parents will now notice that the guard house has been moved, when we realigned the main electricity supply to the school. This term, we will announce more details of the new construction and how it will affect the school.
