Exciting News For KL Campus

Dear Parents and Guardians,

This week has seen a significant event in the future of the school, with the exciting news of the announcement of the TISKL Evolution and Campus Transformation. As many parents will recognise, we have been working towards building much needed sports facilities and car parking for many years. We have finally reached the stage where this is becoming a reality.

The image here is the architect's vision of this new development. Here we will have

  • Basement car parking for over 250 cars
  • An FIFA youth size astro turf football pitch
  • A 50m Olympic size swimming pool
  • Two more basketball courts
  • A suite of performing arts classrooms and black box studio
  • A new kitchen and cafeteria seating area for over 400 people.

Work for this should start in a small way early into 2025, with the main work starting in Q2 2025. We will of course keep all parents up to date with the details as they become relevant. In the reception area at school, we have more images of what this development will look like and a terrific scale model of these new buildings. Please come into school to see this exciting development.

My next topic is that of Care for the World. In the cafeteria we are encouraging students and staff to have their own cutlery sets. This cutlery is made from recycled materials and is therefore completely sustainable. People would use the cutlery, put it back into the box, and then take it home and wash, and then repeat the next day. The reasoning behind this is to avoid the wastage of cutlery being thrown away or lost, and to encourage students to take responsibility for their own cutlery. We will have cutlery packs available from the cafeteria and also in the vending machines. Please look out for more details.

As mentioned in previous weeks, the exam season is finally here. Our Year 11 students start their IGCSE exams this coming week. This is the culmination of their school life so far, and is a key stepping stone for the next stage in their learning journey. Year 11 will now be on study leave and will only come to school when they have a paper. I wish them all the best with their exams, and remind them that the staff in school are available if they need last minute help or support.

Stay safe
