All the best Year 11!
Dear Parents / Guardians
The ‘Haze’ has been with us for a week or so now. We do have air quality devices in the school and monitor the conditions at the campus on a regular basis. The air quality readings do change with the weather and so it is very difficult to predict a few hours in the future, let alone, one day to another.
As you have seen, we have been cancelling outdoor activities and outdoor PE lessons in the last week to keep students safe. This included the KS2 Sports day, last Friday. This was such a shame as students (and parents) have been preparing for this day. Fortunately this Sports Day has been rearranged for November. Please watch out for notifications from the Primary Office giving more details. I appreciate that many people found this very frustrating but is important to limit the level of exposure, for the safety of the students and staff.
The final paper IGCSE exams started this week with Add Maths, History and ICT. These papers will continue until nearly the end of term. On behalf of the school community, I would like to wish Year 11 “all the best” with these papers, and remind them of a famous saying, “The more I practise, the luckier I get”.
Stay safe.
